1. The mating takes place on a male cat's territory.
2. The female cat needs to stay with the male cat for at least three days. This allows the animals to bond and establish the contact and increases the chances of a successful mating.
3. The female cat should not stay with the mating cat for no more than five days.
4. An important condition is a fixed fee for the mating service. When learning about the cost of the service, it is worth clarifying all the nuances and possible additional costs in advance.
5. The female cat may experience discomfort, stress or malaise during the mating. Therefore, both of the cats should be healthy and ready for such an event.
6. Before mating, both of the cats should pass “wedding” tests, which will help to exclude the presence of various infections and diseases.
7. The owner of the female cat and the owner of the male cat must have the following documents: a passport with vaccinations, confirming the vaccination of the pet against major viruses and rabies, as well as the original wedding tests with the seals of the veterinarian. The tests should include the results of the absence of diseases such as coronavirus (a stool test), viral immunodeficiency (FIV), viral leukemia (FLV), infectious peritonitis (FIP), chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis... Contacting a reputable laboratory will be a good choice for getting reliable results.
8. In addition, it is necessary to treat both of the cats for parasites before the mating.
GETTING READY TO VISIT THE MALE:
All of the above conditions for the female contribute to the safety and comfort of her and her partner. We must combine attention to details with meeting the natural needs of our pets, providing them with the conditions necessary for successful reproduction.
1. The female should not be washed before the mating to preserve her attractive odor for the male.
2. You should also bring such amount of her favorite food that is enough for 3 days. And also a cat litter box and cat litter that she is used to.
3. It is important to note that giving her sedatives or estrus stoppers before the mating is not recommended.
4. Another important aspect to keep in mind is the condition of her claws. It is advisable to trim the cat's claws before the mating to avoid possible damage during the act.
